Reuse, Recycle & Paint!

You can make art from anything, even from recyclables! Today, Arty found an empty Arizona Fruit Punch Plastic Gallon Jug and recycled it into art.

When you're finished painting your plastic container, you can make it to whatever you want! Some ideas: a bank, a storage container, or a watering can.

Let's see what Arty made and how he made it!

Supplies Needed:

  • Arizona Plastic Jug Gallon Container (Rinsed & Dried)

  • "Matte" Acrylic Paint

  • Small Paintbrushes

  • "Matte" Mod Podge

  • Foam Plate (Palette)

  • Water

  • Rag or Papertowels

  • Apron or Smock

Step 1:

Find the raised art.

Step 2:

Paint all the raised art with white acrylic paint. Let dry.

Step 4:

Paint over the white paint. Let Dry.

Step 5:

Paint the Arizona label on front and back. Let Dry.

Step 6:

Brush Mod Podge over the painted areas. Let Dry. Mod Podge will dry clear.

Final Step:

Label & fill container.
